Video: Woman, 99, Achieves Lifelong Dream Of Having Knives Thrown At Her During Circus Performance

A former circus worker, 99, has achieved the dream of being a knife-thrower's target during a live circus performance. Annie Duplock from Sharnford in Leicestershire got in the ring and stood against a board as knives were thrown at her by a professional knife thrower.

The former circus worker who will turn 100 in three months, was part of the grand finale of the Zippo Circus show, reported BBC. After the dare, the woman said she had "really enjoyed" the experience.

The video posted by Zippo Circus on Twitter shows Ms Duplock taking her place in front of a board as blades were hurled at her by a professional.

The woman had persuaded her daughter to approach her former boss, Zippo Circus founder Martin Burton, to let her take part.

Mr Burton said, "Annie worked for me 30 years ago, putting up posters."

"She was 70 years old then and she is 100 years old this August."

Mr Burton revealed that his former employee had seen the show the night before and had asked to be a part of the show for her 100th birthday treat.

After the performance, she said, " I've always wanted to have knives thrown at me!

"I'm ready for the next one."

12 Girls Sexually Harassed In UP Government School By Computer Instructor

A computer instructor at a government school in UP allegedly molested 12 girls including some Dalit students, police officials said on Sunday.

The accused computer instructor Mohammad Ali, headmaster Anil Kumar and assistant teacher Sajia have been booked in this connection, they said.

Around 12 girl students, including Dalits, studying in a junior government school in Tilhar police station area, were allegedly molested by computer instructor Mohammad Ali, Circle Officer (Tilhar) Priyank Jain told PTI.

Initially, when some girls complained about this to Headmaster Kumar, he did not take any action, officials said.

The CO quoted the FIR lodged by the village head Lalta Prasad stating that Sajia was also involved in this matter and on Saturday another Dalit student was molested by Ali, after which the students went to their homes and informed their families about it.

Following this, the family members along with the villagers reached the school and created a ruckus.

The three accused have been booked under sections of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the IPC and the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act, police said.

Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) of Kumar Gaurav said that he visited the school and also talked to the family members of the students and villagers. Prima facie, the computer instructor seems to be at fault.

Mr Gaurav said that the matter is being investigated and strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
