Decisions At Regional Meet SCO Will Enhance Partnership With India: Putin
Addressing the Council of Heads of States summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) virtually, Russian President Vladimir Putin today thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for organising this Summit and lauded the work India has done under its presidency.
He said, "I would like to thank PM Modi for organising this Summit. The implementation of a lot of documents and the decisions that were prepared for this Summit is going to enhance the strategic partnership with India," adding that Russia supports the New Delhi declaration which gives a consolidated approach to international issues.

Speaking further, Putin also mentioned Ukraine and noted that, for quite a while, external forces had been carrying out a project aimed at transforming Ukraine into "a hostile state; the anti-Russia."
"In fact, there is a hybrid war being waged against us, which involves illegal sanctions on Russia that are unprecedented in scale. I would like to point out that Russia has been and will continue to confidently counter external pressure, sanctions and provocative incitements," the Russian head of state emphasized.
He added that, for quite a while, external forces had been carrying out a project aimed at transforming Ukraine into "a hostile state; the anti-Russia," President Vladimir Putin said at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), according to the Russian news agency, TASS.
"For eight years, they pumped it [Ukraine] full of weapons, condoned aggression against the peaceful population of Donbas, and turned a blind eye to the enforced propagation of neo-Nazi ideas. And all of this was being done to put the security of Russia under threat and put a check on the development of our country," Putin pointed out during the Summit.
He also added by saying, "Another focus of the SCO is the current situation in Afghanistan. The situation that regrettably is not becoming better. The SCO's priority must be counter-terrorism, counter radicalism, extremism and to counter drug trafficking."
The SCO summit, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, concluded with the virtual participation of the heads of state from all SCO nations.
India assumed the rotating chairmanship of the SCO at the Samarkand Summit of SCO on September 16 last year. The theme of India's Chairmanship of SCO in 2023 is 'SECURE-SCO'. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and China's President Xi Jinping were among others who participated in the summit.

The woman's reference remains unclear, baffling leaving as they turn their heads towards the back of the aircraft. The individual who posted the video on TikTok under the username @texaskansasnnn claims that the incident resulted in a three-hour delay for his flight, as per the Post report. Surprisingly, the person claimed that the woman was not arrested following the outburst.
American Airlines has not commented on the incident yet. However, the video led to a barrage of comments from Twitter users.
"That's one way to get on the no fly list," said one user. "Drinking much alcohol at the airport lately?" questioned another.
The original video has amassed over 20,000 views and has been reposted with the widely-used TikTok hashtag #drunkonaplane, garnering more than three million views, as per US outlets.
The incident comes at a time when there is rush for the Fourth of July holiday. Desperate families are compelled to spend the night in airports due to thousands of flight delays or cancellations due to the rush. On Monday alone, nearly 100 flights were cancelled, according to FlightAware.

Dramatic Video Shows Cop Rescuing A Woman From A Burning Car In US
A dramatic bodycam video has surfaced on the internet which shows a deputy sheriff rescuing a woman from a burning car deep in the woods in Georgia. Candler County Sheriff's Office said Sergeant Ashleigh Taylor responded to a car crash on Highway 46 and discovered the vehicle was on fire.
Officer Taylor rushed to the scene and saved the woman's life by pulling her out of the burning car on Saturday. The video shared by Candler County Sheriff's Office on Instagram shows the officer pulling over to the side of the road, jumping out of his car and rushing to the bush. Moments later, he notices a red car covered in smoke and growing flames.
The officer's quick thinking saved the life of the woman. He smashed the driver's side window with a baton while asking the woman to remove the seatbelt and get out of the car. Further in the video, the fire shoots up and inches close to the officer.

The officer can be heard shouting, "Give me your hand," as he drags the woman out of the burning car.
He places the woman on the ground and goes back to check if there are any more passengers inside the car.
After checking the car, the officer asks a bystander to help carry the woman out of the woods and away from the blaze.

"Sheriff John Miles would like to commend Sergeant Ashleigh Taylor for a job well done during a call for service on Saturday, July 1st. Sergeant Taylor responded to a motor vehicle crash on Highway 46 and discovered the vehicle was in the woods on fire. Sergeant Taylor breached the window and removed the driver from the vehicle, potentially saving a life. Due to Sergeant Taylor's swift actions, the driver was removed from a dangerous situation before it escalated. We would also like to thank the number of motorists that stopped to assist. Delhi Metro's Magenta Line Services Reduced For Hours Due To Waterlogging
Services on a section of Delhi Metro's Magenta Line were curtailed for several hours on Tuesday due to waterlogging on a portion of the tracks between Dabri Mor and Janakpuri West segment of the corridor, according to officials.
The Magenta Line connects Janakpuri West in Delhi to Botanical Garden in Noida.
"Train services on Magenta Line (Line-8 from Janakpuri West to Botanical Garden) were regulated today owing to waterlogging between Dabri Mor and Janakpuri West section on the upline track (trains going towards Janakpuri West)," the DMRC said in a statement.
Train services were provided through single-line operation between Janakpuri West and Terminal-1 IGI Airport stations via the downline track from 10 am to 3:35 pm. As a result, trains were available at a lesser frequency in the section during this period, it said.
Services on the remaining section of the Magenta Line, from Terminal-1 IGI Airport to Botanical Garden, were running normally during this period through, both the up and down line tracks, it said.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation also shared the information on Twitter to alert commuters.
"Magenta Line Update Delay in services from Janakpuri West to Terminal 1-IGI Airport. Normal service on all other lines," the DMRC said in a tweet at 10:40 am.
Commuters travelling from Janakpuri West to Botanical Garden or vice versa can also travel by the Blue Line, it wrote in another tweet.
Botanical Garden station is an interchange station between the Blue Line and Magenta Line.
"Normal services have resumed," the DMRC tweeted at 3:44 pm.
During this period, centralised announcements were made on station premises and inside trains to inform passengers. Further, commuters travelling towards Botanical Garden were also advised to use the Blue Line to avoid delays on this route, officials said.
"The issue of waterlogging, which apparently occurred due to leakage from a fire pipeline in the section was resolved at 3:35 pm and thereafter, normal train services were resumed on the entire Magenta Line, through up line and down line tracks," the DMRC said.
